I like the this moment between them because I think it shows Nathan is scared and even though he knows that if he does do the surgery for Clay that deep down his basketball career is pretty much over anyway, yet Haley does her best to make him feel better about it. It surprises me to this day that they can tell one another anything, that they can do anything and they both still bounce back from it. It’s like their relationship is indestructible and it just makes me so happy that they’re always going to make sure the other gets their dream before they get their’s themselves.
